A Detroit man is scheduled to be arraigned today in connection with the shooting of his 14-year-old son.

36-year-old Kong Kue has been charged with felony firearm and second-degree child abuse in the non-fatal shooting.

It stems from an incident last week, in which Kue's 14-year-old son was accidentally shot by his 10-year-old brother.

Police say the boys found an unsecured, loaded shotgun in a closet in Kue's bedroom.

The younger boy pulled the trigger, hitting his brother in the abdomen.

The older boy is still recovering from his injuries.

The children were home with their grandparents at the time of the shooting.

Kue was at work.

If convicted, he faces up to 10 years behind bars.
