The Detroit police have arrested two men they believe are serial rapists who have abducted several women riding their bikes.

The men are accused of recently abducing three women who were riding their bikes in Detroit and Hamtramck, sexually assaulting them at another location and then dropping them off.

Detroit Police Chief James Craig said he doesn't’t know of any other victims, but it’s not unusual for more victims to come forward when there are serial rapists in the city.

"We just want to make sure we're doing our due diligence in making sure we're not overlooking crimes and unreported crimes," said Craig.

There are not many details about the men arrested, other than one is in his 30s and other in his 20s.

Thefirst case was reported on Sept. 30 on East Milwaukee and Orleans.

A 24-year-old woman said she was riding her bike when she was abducted and raped by two men in a white van. Police say they drove around in the area before dropping back off.

Another woman in Hamtramck reported the same thing happening to her on Denton and Lumpkin streets on Oct. 8.

Police said they’re investigating a third case, but have not released any details.

"There's only been a few occasions, one is just too many, when you're talking about the possibility of a serial rapist, (and) adductions occurring during day hours -- that certainly increases a lot of fear in a community," said Craig.
