Detroit Police continue search for missing children

There were tense moments as Detroit Police searched a neighborhood on the west side. They were following up on a tip related to the disappearance of two small children whose mother was found murdered.

Information was vague, but police quickly got several squad cars out to Strathmoor near 6 Mile. After checking vacant homes, nothing was discovered.

A tipster had claimed they might find 6-year-old Kaylah Hunter and 8-month-old Kristian Justice in that area. Their mother, 27-year-old Alicia Fox was found in a vacant house shot to death on Penrod last Monday.

Her husband and father to the 8-month-old, Erin Justice, was arrested in Atlanta and will face First Degree Murder. An alleged accomplice after the fact also is in custody.

More searches are planned for Tuesday morning.
