(WXYZ) - Detroit Police are investigating the death of a 16-month-old boy.
Officers were called to the 19300 block of Keating and found the boy not breathing, according to police. The boy was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
EMS sources say the child appeared to be burned.
Police say the condition inside the home where the boy was found was terrible. There was no running water and no heat, according to sources.
Neighbors tell 7 Action News that the mother lived in the home with her brother and that she recently had gotten a job. They also say that they would see the baby when the mother would take him for walks and that the toddler appeared happy and healthy.
Investigators are questioning the boy's mother, uncle and mom's boyfriend.
