Detroit Tigers Spring Training announced

DETROIT, MICH (WXYZ-TV) - While you're evading snowflakes and thinking about Spring, maybe this will help.

The Detroit Tigers will play the first exhibition game of the Spring Training season February 22nd against the Atlanta Braves.

In announcing the 2013 Spring Training Schedule, the Tigers say they will be playing the New York Yankees March 23rd and then play the National League East Division Champions, the Washington Nationals, March 10th  and 17th.

There will also be quite a lot of excitement at Marchant Stadium in Lakeland when the Tigers take on the team from Western Michigan University on March 5th.

Tickets are being offered at three different price tiers which have yet to be determined but they will be designated as Navy, Orange, and White, each depending on which games you'd like to attend.

You can buy ticket plans of five or more games right now. Tickets for individual games will become available at 10am, Saturday, January 12th.
