One of the men featured as Detroit's Most Wanted is in custody after he surrendered over the weekend.

Gary Davis was wanted out of Texas and agents thought he may have been posing as his identical twin brother.

On Monday, just three days after being featured as one of Detroit's Most Wanted, Davis surrendered to police at the Detroit Police Department's 2nd precinct.

“So, Davis back in 2016 broke into his ex-girlfriend’s house, physically assaulted her and then fled the scene,” says Deputy U.S. Marshal Justin Efthemiou.

It’s the latest in what police call Gary Davis’ life filled with criminal activity.

“This individual has an extensive criminal history including multiple burglary charges, fraud, robbery and even narcotics trafficking,” says Efthemiou.

The latest offense happened in Texas, but the U.S. Marshals say Davis is back home in Detroit - with family helping him staying at large.

“Davis has an identical twin brother and we believe, the authorities believe that Davis has assumed his twin brothers identity which he has done in the past,” says Efthemiou.
