DETROIT (WXYZ) - Dozens of drivers were stranded on the Lodge Freeway for nearly 18 hours due to the massive flooding.
One of the stranded motorists called Action News desperate for help after she was stuck on the roadway all night long.
Sharon Kilgore was just trying to get home from work Monday night when she, along with 40 other drivers, became trapped in the fast rising water on the Lodge Freeway near the Davison in Detroit.
She felt like they were forgotten, and just wanted someone to know they are still here.
Strangers stopped by to bring food and water. Tow trucks also arrived.
The Red Cross brought a porta-potty. It is unknown how long the road will be closed.
