DETROIT (WXYZ) - Drivers have been dodging a giant see-through pothole on southbound I-75 on the Rouge River Bridge in Detroit.
Road crews were on the scene Wednesday to block off the massive pothole from traffic.
MDOT says the hole is about 3 1/2 feet by 6 feet.
Andrew Purdy drives along that stretch of freeway often and says he's stunned by the sight, but not surprised.
"As many times as it has been patched .. eventually something's gonna happen," he says.
Traffic was down to two lanes for several hours on southbound I-75 between Springwells and the Fort Street/Schaefer exit.
Late this afternoon, crews discovered a second hole in the same lane that's about half the size.
Crews were able to patch the holes and reopen the lanes Wednesday night.
