DTE Energy says about 5,000 customers are without power Thursday morning after high winds caused damage to their electrical system.
DTE reports that the majority of people will have power restored by 4 p.m.
The high winds have also caused downed wires. DTE is reminding people to be cautions and stay at least 20 feet away from downed power lines and anything they may be touching.
