Duggan hopes to take charge after EFM fixes Detroit

DETROIT (WXYZ) - The historic appointment of an emergency financial manager for Detroit won't make Mike Duggan have second thoughts about his campaign to become the city's next elected CEO.

In an in-depth one-on-one interview I had with him that airs Sunday morning on Spotlight on the News, Duggan makes it perfectly clear what his strategy will be for EFM Kevyn Orr, Governor Rick Snyder, and the Michigan Legislature.

On January 1, 2014, the former CEO of the Detroit Medical Center wants the management of Michigan's largest city to be returned to leadership elected by Detroit voters.  Duggan is convinced that his track record as a financial turnaround expert makes him the best person to be at the head of the line for that transfer of power.

You can see my entire interview with former Wayne County Prosecutor Mike Duggan at 9:30 am on Spotlight.
