(WXYZ) - Action News is getting results for an elderly couple.
We first told you about Stanley and Johanna Labi of Lincoln Park Monday. They have been living without running water for almost seven weeks.
The couple was melting snow so they could use the bathroom facilities. Neighbors were bringing them bottled water so they had something to drink and cook with.
The couple says they called the City of Lincoln Park but was told the problem sounded like it was due to a frozen line on their property and they would need to pay a contractor to get it repaired.
A contractor told them the problem was on the city's end.
After several phone calls and emails from Action News reporter Ronnie Dahl, the City of Lincoln park sent a crew from its water department.
After digging up the ground to get a closer inspection of the water main line, it was discovered the problem was on the city's end. Crews spent the day thawing the line. That did the trick. The water is now running again.
