The family of a 3-year-old Dearborn Heights girl who died from a falling table at a head-start school has filed a lawsuit.

Lillian Kerr was killed by falling equipment at the school at Saint Albert the Great on Jan. 20.

The attorney for her family says he was originally told the family would be taken care of but talks have gone nowhere.

They have filed a $10 million lawsuit and it also names seven children who died the same way.

The attorney said evidence will show there were problems with securing the table in the past, and evidence those concerns were ignored.

Defendants named in the suit include The Archdiocese of Detroit, Saint Albert's Church and the Wayne Metro Head Start Program.
