A homeowner is desperately searching for her missing dog, after investigators say it appears it was stolen during a home invasion in Mount Clemens.

The Macomb County Sheriff's Office says the home invasion happened on Monday night sometime between 7:00 pm and midnight on Clair between North Avenue and Gratiot.

The homeowner was not there at the time.

Detectives believe three guys made their way through a rear window, stealing some stuff, and making off with "Frankie." He's a four-year old Pit Bull, which was recently rescued from a bad situation, according to neighbors.

They tell us the dog is extremely friendly and well behaved.

If you have any information on "Frankie", call Macomb County Sheriff's Office Detective Jeff McPherson at 586-307-9358.
