(WXYZ) - It started as a simple request on YouTube.
John Berlin posted a clip just over a minute asking Mark Zuckerberg and the Facebook team to allow him to see his son's look back video.
In the video, Berlin explains that his son, Jesse, passed away in January of 2012 and that the family couldn't access his Facebook account.
His tearful plea asked the Facebook team if he could just see the movie.
After posting the video, it has garnered more than 2 million views.
On Friday, Berlin responded in the video clip comment section that Facebook had gotten in touch with him and was going to give them access to the video.
"Hug your children, kiss them," wrote Berlin. "Tell them you love them every single day. Again I thank every single one of you."
