(WXYZ) - A golf coach who has ties to Michigan, has been charged with 65 counts of sexual assault against children.
Andrew Michael Nisbet was arrested in Livermore, California on December 7. His arrest came after an extensive sexual abuse investigation.
The investigation revealed that the incidents reportedly happened between 2009 and 2012. Nisbet was employed at Las Positas Golf Course in Livermore as a coach for children.
It is suspected Nisbet sexually assaulted multiple male children between the ages of 12 and 17 years old.
He was a highly regarded golf coach, and coached many children in junior tournaments in California and nationally.
Nisbet also coached children in Michigan, North Carolina, Mississippi and Alabama.
Las Positas Golf Course terminated his employment immediately.
An investigation is still under way, but authorities believe there may be more victims in Michigan and other states.
They are encouraging anyone with any additional information to report it and ask parents to speak with their children if they believe they had any contact with Nisbet.
