Unfortunately, if you share your opinions online, you're at risk of becoming a victim of internet trolling.

We're all familiar with how negative or nasty words can just destroy a constructive conversation. Name calling, swearing and the like.

But now, Google is working on ways to foster positivity, not negativity on the web.

Google has joined with one of its sister companies, Jigsaw, to develop an artificial intelligence platform to help stop the harassment.

The machine learning software is called Perspective.

According to Google's official blog, Perspective looks at comments and scores them based on comments that are more likely to make someone exit the conversation

The neat thing about Perspective is the more it works, the more it learns.

One of the goals of the tool, Google says, is to help publishers.

Using Perspective to flag comments, moderators could decide if they want to allow sorting by toxicity or enlighten the commenter to how their negative words are viewed.
