The Office of Michigan Governor Rick Snyder has released his emails relating to the Flint water crisis.

The governor promised to release the emails in his State of the State speech Tuesday night.

The first email, dated January 3, 2014 is from Michael Gadola and is heavily redacted. At the time, Gadola was serving as the Governor's legal counsel. He was appointed to the Michigan Court of Appeals in December 2014.

Debate over who's to blame for the crisis continues.

This morning, we're expecting to hear more from Snyder and his office on an appeal to President Obama in an effort to get Flint declared a federal disaster area. Snyder cited its similarities to a flood with prolonged damage to the people and the city's failing infrastructure, also noting the possibility of long-term health problems for residents.
