(WXYZ) - Greenfield Road between 8 Mile and 9 Mile will be reconstructed during this year's construction season, according to the Road Commission for Oakland County.
Drivers had been complaining about the pothole issue on the road.
In the meantime, the road commission says they will continue to patch the potholes as needed.
"We recognize that this section of Greenfield Road is in very bad condition," stated RCOC Managing Director Dennis Kolar in a press release. "We have been working with the City of Southfield for more than a year to come up with a plan for the emergency reconstruction of the southbound lanes. That work will take place this year, during the construction season."
