DETROIT (WXYZ) - A.J. Shackleford was supposed to be getting married in two months, but hours after the 32-year-old was fitted for his tuxedo, he was shot and killed.
"My brother was a good brother. Never did nothing to nobody. He always came around here and everybody knew him," said Mike Williams, Shackleford's brother.
The shooting happened Saturday night around 9:00 outside a liquor store on East Warren and Pennsylvania on Detroit's east side.
Detroit Police describe the liquor store as a "haven for drinking" and other problems.
Shackleford was reportedly shot in the head and died on the sidewalk.
A large crowd, that included many of Shackleford's friends and relatives, gathered around the crime scene as police were beginning their investigation to find his killer.
