Gun sales, prices on the rise after Newton, CT shooting

(WXYZ) - Gun sales have been on the rise since the school shooting in Newtown, CT over fears of further restriction.

In Livionia, at Shooter's Service, gun prices have also sky rocketed. The owners say they aren't gouging customers, many price hikes, they say, are driven by suppliers.

Shipments coming in are scarce and the guns are going off the shelves fast.

"You tell folks there's something they can't have and they want it," said Roger Little, Shooter's Service owner.

In Michigan, you can buy a gun if you obtain a Michigan concealed gun license which includes a background check. You can also fill out a 44-73 form that also requires a background check through the feds.
