Hamtramck city leaders calling for the FBI to investigate their vendors

HAMTRAMCK, Mich. (WXYZ) -

Hamtramck city leaders have voted to ask the FBI to investigate some of their vendors after, they say, tens of thousands of dollars were unaccounted for in services.

Sources tell 7 Action News that a private company red-flagged a number of contracts involved in lot maintenance inside the city, including services like mowing and snow plowing.

Council members are concerned the city was overcharged.
