A probable cause hearing was held today for Myah Betts who is charged in a fatal crash involving a FedEx truck.

She is pleading not guilty in the case.

Detectives say she was racing to get away from another accident in early February when she took a man's life. A witness described the sound as a loud bang she heard from inside her home.

At 46 years old old, Rodrick Edwin Motley was a loving husband, caring son and devoted father.

A veteran employee of 23 years with FedEx, he was driving his work truck at Chandler Park Drive and Newport in Detroit, when police say Betts struck him.

Records show the 26-year-old female had numerous driving violations, and was on a suspended license.

The judge ordered Betts to remain under house arrest if she posts bond with an alcohol tether until her next hearing date.

Betts' preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 15 at 11 a.m.
