Help Detroit I.M.P.A.C.T.S Youth Rally provide school supplies for low income families in Detroit

DETROIT (WXYZ) - The Detroit I.M.P.A.C.T.S. Youth Summer rally needs your help to meet their goal of providing every student who is in attendance on Friday, August 22, with a backpack and school supplies.

Hundreds of families in Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb Counties have registered to be in attendance for a full day of music, live entertainment, art, life skill workshops and a community panel discussion entitled, "Education vs, The Hip Hop Industry: Now that the Hip Hop Industry has my child's attention, what is the Hip Hop Industry going to do with it?"

At the Rally, students in need will be provided with necessary supplies for the school year.

The deadline to donate is now extended through Monday, August 18 at 6:00 p.m.

You can help by donating brand new pencils, ink pens, erasers, notebook paper, note pads, combination locks, glue sticks, scissors, crayons, folders and back packs to the Tower Center located at 15400 Grand River Detroit MI 48227 corner of Grand River & Greenfield.
