A special Hiring Our Heroes Career Fair is taking place this Saturday at the John D. Dingell Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Detroit.
There's a full day of events scheduled, starting at 8 a.m. with an open house - information fair. If you're unaware of the help that's available, this is a great place to start.
At 10 a.m., there will be a veteran job seeker workshop. You can learn about networking, building a resume and developing the interview skills that will get you hired.
At noon, the job fair begins. There will be dozens of employers on-hand looking for help. That includes General Motors, Ford Motor Company, Michigan State Police, The Department of Homeland Security, Quicken Loans, DTE Energy and Comerica Bank.
