The Monroe County Sheriff's Office said they arrested a home invasion suspect after he was discovered because he fell down the stairs of the home he was trying to rob.
According to deputies, the residents called 911 around 3:15 a.m. Saturday after they woke up when they heard the suspect fall down their basement stairs.
Deputies arrived within minutes and began searching for the suspect. They found him still inside the home hiding in the basement.
He was arrested and taken to jail with first degree home invasion charges pending.
