How you can help families who lost everything in Ypsilanti fire

(WXYZ) - More than 15 families lost everything in a large fire at an apartment complex in Ypsilanti last week.

Now, the families that used to live in Schooner Cove need our help.

Their main needs are:

Soap, shampoo, toothbrushes , toothpaste, shaving lotion, razors, deodorant, Q-tips
Small appliances like vacuums and microwaves, music players

Board games and books for children for trauma of fire

Throw rugs and shower curtains

Cleaning supplies

Bed linens for twin, full, queen and king size beds and pillows

Towels--especially bath towels and washcloths

Electronics of all kinds--especially for teens and children

DVDS / used or new TVs or DVD players

Flatware and dinnerware ( plates, glasses, cups, pots, pans, coffee makers, mixers, toasters )
Gift cards are welcome--especially to grocery stores; Target, Walmart, and Meijer, Kroger
