Investigators hope new billboard will help solve local cold cases

(WXYZ) - Investigators hope a billboard may lead to answers in the cold case of missing Paige Renkoski.

Exactly 23 years ago, on March 24, Renkoski disappeared.

In 1990, her car was discovered along westbound I-96 near the Fowlerville exit.  The engine in her car was still running and the 30 year old's shoes and purse were still inside.

Since that time – it has been a roller coaster ride for family.

Over the years, investigators have gotten several tips on the cold case but they led to nowhere.

Now, investigators plan to put up a billboard near Chilson Road along I-96 to jog people's memory of the case.

Bob Bozette, the Livingston County Sheriff told 7 Action News after the three women in Cleveland were found,  Renkoski's family has more hope.

The last search for the victim happened in 2011 when investigators received a tip in Conway Township.
Nothing was found there.

Renkoski's face along with the faces of three cold case homicide victims in the county will soon be put up on the billboard.

Police hope the effort will lead to her as well as information in the other cases.

Sheriff Bozette told 7 Action News investigators in his department have too not give up hope in finding answers.

The billboard, which will be donated by a local attorney, will be in place in the next three weeks.
