DETROIT (WXYZ) - Federal agents have seized more than $400,000 in bank accounts that sources say belong to convicted contractor Bobby Ferguson, 7 Action News has learned.
It's money that federal prosecutors have suspected Ferguson had all along but was trying to hide, and it's one of the reasons they've fought giving Ferguson bond ever since he was found guilty last month of a slew of criminal charges.
The feds say Ferguson is a flight risk, and could use the money to skip town. But in the past, Ferguson has said he's given up all he has: the contractor has already forfeited hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash, two homes and construction equipment.
A call to Ferguson's lawyer today was not returned.
The U.S. Attorney declined comment.
