DETROIT (WXYZ) - A federal judge has dismissed a $100 million dollar lawsuit that was filed by the mother of one of the Oakland County Child Killer's victims.
Detroit attorney Paul Hughes sued the Oakland County Prosecutor, Sheriff, and Michigan State Police investigators last year – alleging that Kristine Mihelich's mother had been denied access to the courts. The suit also alleged that the law enforcement officials caused Deborah Jarvis emotional distress.
Today a judge tossed out the case – saying many of the claims in it were "deficient. "
The lawsuit relied heavily on allegations from an anonymous source who believes satanic cults played a role in the child killings.
Between 1976 and 1977 – Mihelich and 3 other children were abducted along the Woodward Corridor, and later murdered.
Two different grand juries have been convened in an effort to solve the decades-old case.
