(WXYZ) - Macomb Township Supervisor Janet Dunn has been charged with election fraud and was arraigned last week in Sterling Heights District Court.
Dunn was under fire last year for allegedly submitting false signatures in a sloppy effort to collect the 200 needed to appear on the August primary.
The new criminal charge against her is for signing off on petitions for signatures she did not collect.
Dunn initially was going to be arraigned in Shelby Township District Court, but the judge recused himself because Dunn oversees that court.
7 action news contacted Dunn by phone this morning seeking comment, but she quickly hung up the phone stating she was busy and could not talk.
Dunn was released on personal bond. Her pre-trial is scheduled for July 10.
