Photos released of Oakland County Child Killer suspect's suicide scene

(WXYZ) - The families of the victims of the Oakland County Child Killer have released photographs from the suicide scene of one of the suspects in the decades-old case.

Christopher Brian Busch committed suicide in 1978.  Detectives have been investigating whether Busch could have been responsible for the kidnapping and murders of four children between 1976 and 1977.

Two different grand juries – one in Wayne County and one in Oakland County -- have been convened to investigate the unsolved murders.

As the 7 Action News Investigators first reported in 2009, Busch emerged as a possible suspect after the family of the fourth victim, Timothy King, learned Busch allegedly told a polygraph examiner that he killed Timmy King.  Busch was also arrested in 1977 for allegedly forcing dozens of boys to commit sex acts, but he only received probation for that case.

The Investigators also first reported that Busch was charged in at least two other sexual assaults in the ‘70's.

During the past few months, the new task force that's investigating the killings has been gathering DNA samples from various family members of the four victims.  And detectives are still hard at work, trying to determine who killed King, Mark Stebbins, Kristine Mihelich, and Jill Robinson.
