Prosecutor must give Oakland County child killer victim's dad evidence list

PONTIAC (WXYZ) - A judge ruled today that the father of one of the children believed to have been killed by the Oakland County child killer should be given a list of the prosecutor's evidence in the case.

Barry King, the 81-year-old father of Timmy King, has been fighting since last year to see all of the evidence in the unsolved murder case that dates back to 1976, when his son and three other children were abducted and killed.

In today's ruling, Judge Wendy Potts said that Oakland County Prosecutor Jessica Cooper's office must produce a list of the evidence currently in their possession on the child killer case. They will have 21 days to produce the list and once they do, King and his attorney will decide if they'll fight to see any specific pieces of evidence.

When the list is released to King, it won't be made available to the public.
