Detroit’s comeback, when did it really begin? If you pose that question to a newcomer of Southeast Michigan, there’s a good chance they will give all of the credit to the current city administration and businessman Dan Gilbert. But, if you toss that question out to longtime Detroit mover and shaker Peter Cummings as I did on this week’s Spotlight on the News program, one gets a much more thoughtful answer…and history lesson! And, as excited as he is about business development in the Motor City, he points out a population challenge the city must overcome.
