Napping stations added to a library at the University of Michigan

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (WXYZ) - The University of Michigan is making it easier for students to get a quick rests during their all-night study sessions by instituting napping stations.

The stations were implemented last week in the Shapiro Undergraduate Library, and are meant for students who want to take a quick nap but live too far away to run home to take one.

The stations consist of just cots with pillows, and there are rules to using them. First, naps have to be limited to 30 minutes or less, they have to be wiped down after use, and they can't be used if a student is sick.

If this works out, the university could add a second napping station in the Duderstadt Center.
