(WXYZ) - Supporters showed up on Detroit's east side Sunday night for a vigil remembering 100 dead cats.
The vigil took place on the corner of Casino and Marne Street. The vigil was held in remembrance of the animals who lost their lives to what many called neglect and hoarding at a nearby home.
Those in attendance said they were shocked and upset at the loss of life.
It was a bad smell in the east side neighborhood that led to the original discovery of the cats earlier this month.
