Dr. Helmer is co-director, Alexander J. Walt Comprehensive Breast Center, and radiologist, Karmanos Cancer Center, and associate professor of radiology at Wayne State University School of Medicine.
She is a board certified by the American Board of Radiology and former director of breast imaging at Oakwood Hospital and Medical Center and physician leader of the multidisciplinary breast program at Oakwood Health System.
Dr. Helmer has her M.D. from Wayne State University School of Medicine and B.S. from the University of Michigan.
