One of many : one of many what ? You don't think that the guy could of been shot in the leg or something. Why not take him down ? Oh yea, Now it is the cops word against a dead man.

Thank goodness that the law men didnt taser these perps! You know that the taser is starting to get a bad rap because of resent events where the perp died when taserd. This is still no excuse for the absence of the "death penalty", reguardless of how many criminals are killed this way. We still need the "death penalty in michigan. God bless the good guys!

One of many: Thank you and your fellow officers for the job you do. The INTELLIGENT, law-abiding posters here are thankful to all of you.

Buddy, if someone came at me with a knife, theres not a lot of time to talk. Theres a distance of 20 feet and if he continues, the warning is "if you continue I'll shoot" and that will be the last works spoken before he meets his maker.

jaysnick: spoken like a true non law enforcement member. Having seen too many videos and attended too many training sessions where the knife was used against an officer with deadly consequences I must disagree with you. Come stand in our shoes for a few days and then you tell me if I or my fellow officers should hesitate against someone with a knife... I think you would have a different opinion.

GooooooooooooooooOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO COPS!!

jaysnik Yeah right, officer take time to calm someone with a knife. Maybe a taser, no wait that's to deadly now too. Officers are trained to use their best judgement given the circumstances and more often than not, not a lot of time to think. They have to react on their instincts, and that means for them cop to stay alive.
