ROSEVILLE, Mich. (WXYZ) - A bill collector who worked for Rent-A-Center has been charged with criminal sexual conduct for an incident that happened at a woman's home in Roseville.
Police say George Edward Herron, 43, of Detroit, went to a 21-year-old woman's home in Roseville to discuss a delinquent account.
Herron reportedly offered to eliminate the delinquent bill in exchange for a sex act. Police say he then exposed himself to the woman, grabbed her hand and placed it on him. The woman pulled away.
The suspect allegedly completed a sex act on himself before leaving her home. He later tried to contact the victim to see if she would be interested in exchanging sex for elimination of her debt to Rent-A-Center.
The woman contacted Roseville Police and an investigation was conducted.
After reviewing the case, the Macomb County Prosecutor's Office charged George Edward Herron with one count of CSC in the fourth degree and aggravated indecent exposure. Both charges are misdemeanors.
A preliminary exam is set for November 18th in 39th District court.
