The deputy mayor of Detroit says if Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy files charges against Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick on Monday, her decision will be based on politics -- not the law.
Anthony Adams talked about the case with ABC's Good Morning America in an interview scheduled to air Monday.

What our legal experts have told us is that based on what they've seen and what they've analyzed, there simply is not a basis to bring a legal charge against the mayor.
"Obviously, if she's going to make a political decision, well that's a whole different ballgame. We recognize that the prosecutor is under tremendous political pressure and we believe that if she were to carefully examine the facts of the situation, that the mayor will not be charged and ultimately the mayor perhaps will be vindicated."
