DETROIT (WXYZ)- There are plans to convert the former Detroit Free Press building into a new film production studio.
The new owners of the building hope to take advantage of the state's tax incentives slated for film, video and TV production in Michigan.
A sound stage would reportedly replace the area where the printing press once operated in the building.
A Troy-based technology firm Intelegen Inc. has partnered with real estate company Luke investments on the venture.
