(WXYZ) - After seven months out of work and unable to find a job, William Victor Hill is back to work and earning a paycheck.
Well into his fifties, Hill is now teaching computer software classes and getting paid as part of a special jobs program set up specifically to help older metro Detroiters find jobs.

Low-income workers, who are unemployed and older, are retrained on the job in the field of their choice. Each participant is paid $7.40 an hour to train for up to 20 hours a week and each participant gets free help redesigning their resume and cover letter.
The program also helps place workers in a real job with one of 70 partner corporations. For Hill, it’s just the right kind of help he needed to get back to making real money and on track to finding a real job.
