It's news because getting the info about this hotel's practices will help make sure they don't screw these people out of their money and then deliver a non-airconditioned building without clean linens or even toilet paper for the guests, like last time. Also, if she is forced to abide by their contract, after the hotel failed to properly provide services for the previous guests, she's got public proof that she tried to get her deposit back when it became apparent that the hotel was having trouble abiding by ITS part of the contract. The hotel is now under public pressure to perform the job properly, and provide the services that she is paying for. Businesses will often take advantage of us regular people if we don't make their unacceptable behavior public. Going to the news is just about the only way we can get justice and motivate the company to do the right thing.

How is this news???

That deposit is needed by collins, she has to pay the back taxes on her house all of the sudden and the hotel owes her a favor for that vote they bought and stiffed her on the promised bribe...

Another reason to not do business in downtown Detroit. That three grand needs to provide a much needed cash infusion into the hotel managers slush fund so he can bribe city council members.

Jeez, Dirk, I also think she's very pretty, but dude, you need to keep your fantasies in yer head and not be posting them out loud for the poor unhappy bride to see. She's got enough problems without you trying to turn her into a hooker.

I agree with a lot of the posts. Sounds like she should be able to sue for fraud, but she may have to wait until it happens which will be to late. Where did the hotel come up with the money to fix the A/C? Will they have employees? You would think the tourists and convention center would get involved or even the prosecutors office for the hotel taking money knowing they cannot deliver the service the bride expected.

She is quite a lovely and thick young lady (cute face/thick waist). Dance a little. Shake the twins. Make it pop. I got a $100 for ya, Baby Girl. A little extra effort (wink) will get ya a little extra cash (wink wink). You will have your $3000 several multiples over.

Her contract with the hotel may not allow for the refund she is requesting. She should read that contract very, very carefully because while the hotel has done and undone to others, it really hasn't "malpracticed" her - YET. She may have to wait until they screw it up and then sue them for all that was promised and not delivered. If her contract does have some kind of escape clause, sue them now for not honoring that! Remember, these folks don't care about the bad press anymore; they've have all of that. I do think she should go in now and go back over her contract and spell out every detail.

It is common in Detroit to do a Drive-By. I mean, that's how they settle things. Can't the Bride see the Thug Mentality going on here? When in Rome do as the Romans. When in Detroit... Get my drift?
