Did you guys know that if you have a house built in the 80s or later that often the only thing between you and an intruder is not the doors and windows, but a 1/2" thick piece of foam insulation (under the plastic siding, unless you chose to get plywood), the insualtion batting, and then the flimsy dry wall. I could bust into your house without even being heard. No need to kick in doors. Get yourself a gun, heck get a few guns. Learn how to use them. Then, when an intruder comes in to rape and rob, all you need is a shop vac to clean up the bloody mess after the authorities haul him to the morgue.

I wish to thank you for this story. I will be at the locksmith tomorrow to buy those screws and plates for my doors. My front doors also have the decorative bars with the dead bolt and lock going directly into the metal frame. I have lighting all around the house with infra red cameras hooked to a DVR as added protection. Even with my Guardian security service when it comes to thieves, you can never have enough protection.
