WARREN, Mich. (WXYZ) - A 20-year-old Warren man has been arraigned on charges he stabbed a police officer last week.
Johnathan Williams has been charged with four felonies, including assault with intent to murder and resisting and obstructing a police officer. He was given a $500,000 bond after pleading not guilty.
Police say Williams stabbed an officer in the head during a confrontation on Waltham, Friday. Officers were responding to a call of a man who would not leave a car wash at the time of the incident. The car wash is next door to the home where the officer was stabbed.
The injured officer, John Dahlin, was treated for a serious cut to his head. He is expected to be okay. Williams is due back in court on November 17 for a preliminary examination.
