POLICE: Murder-Suicide in Milford Township

Murder-Suicide in Milford Township
MILFORD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WXYZ) -  Police have ruled the deaths of a Milford Township couple as a murder-suicide.

Officers say 61-year-old Joseph Valentino shot his wife, 60-year-old Lucille Valentino, before turning the rifle on himself. 

The couple's daughter found their bodies around 6:00 p.m. Sunday and called 911 from a neighbor's house. She had gone to the house to check on them because she hadn't heard from them in a while. Police are not commenting on how long ago the couple died.

Family members are calling the situation a personal and private matter.
