(WXYZ) - Investigators have released the names of the three people involved in Wednesday's fiery crash that brought the 9 Mile overpass crashing down onto I-75.
They are 44-year-old tanker driver Michael St. John of Armada, the 38-year-old driver of the Meijer truck Jody Cicero of Monroe, and the 27-year-old driver of the car Saied Haidarian-Shahri of Clawson. All three were taken to Beaumont Hospital for treatment, and have since been released.
Police tell Action News that while the investigation is ongoing, they believe Haidarian-Shahri may have lost control of his car and hit the tanker. They believe that caused the tanker to split, and minutes later explode in a fireball that eventually brought down the bridge.
