MOUNT CLEMENS, Mich. (WXYZ) - Bargainers have reached an agreement to end a strike by Mount Clemens public school bus drivers that left about 1,000 students looking for a ride.
Thirty-one bus drivers working for the Cincinnati-based contractor First Student Inc. began a strike Tuesday over pay.
First Student issued a statement Tuesday saying it had reached an agreement with Teamsters Local 614.
The company says the drivers will be back at work Wednesday and buses will operate normally that day in the Mount Clemens Community School District.
Before the deal was reached, the company said it was bringing in drivers from Illinois, Ohio and Michigan to continue service.
