BROWNSTOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WXYZ) - Police are searching for a suspect in the robbery of a woman outside her church.
It happened at the Charity Baptist Church in Brownstown Township. Police say the thief approached the woman as she left her car and pulled a gun. She turned over her money and cell phone.
After giving the thief what he wanted, police say the woman also gave the thief a piece of her mind, calling him a jerk. That's when witness say the thief opened fire, shooting his gun three times. However, the woman says she was able to avoid the bullets by leaning the the side.
After shooting his gun, the thief ran off. He's described as hispanic, between 5'6" and 5'7" tall with a diamond earring in his left ear. He was last seen driving an older burgundy car with a black top and damage on the passenger side, near the light. If you have any information on who he is, call Brownstown Township police.
