Samuel Fairgood moves gingerly as he takes a few painful steps away from the family apartment house. The 17-year-old is still shook up and recovering after finding himself in the middle of a hail of bullets Tuesday afternoon at a bus stop at Warren Avenue and Southfield.
Fairgood says he couldn't determine if the shooters were after any particular person or persons. He was one of a dozen students and adults standing at the bus stop.
When the shooting started, Fairgood ran across the Warren Avenue bridge and was unaware that he had been shot twice in the groin area.
As he recovers, Fairgood has a newfound appreciation for finishing high school. But right now, he doesn't know if he wants to do it at Cody High School.
