HIGHLAND PARK, Mich. (WXYZ) - Police have arrested a man in connection with the shooting death of his 15-year-old son.
It happened in a field at Hamilton and McNichols in Highland Park. Witnesses say there was some sort of argument that turned physical between the father and son. The 37-year-old father told the boy, who witnesses say was naked, to get down on his knees. Officers say he was then shot by the father.
The teenager, identified by his grandfather as Jamar Pinckney, was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Authorities have not released the name of Pinckney's father.
